Inspired by the light industrial forms, which predominate the local surrounding area, simple roof forms are explored and developed further to provide a considered response to the requirements of the client’s brief. The primary aspect of the house is South facing and the living accommodation will benefit from an early morning sunrise from the East through to the late evening sunset to the West. The orientation of the house is almost perfect and is one of the key design principles of the proposal, to create a ‘Passivhaus'.
