Our Stoke Newington townhouse refurbishment transforms the home through a series of carefully judged interventions. Rather than replace the existing rear extension, we retained it and introduced a timber mezzanine, creating a dramatic double-height lounge. The ground floor was reorganised around family life, with the kitchen becoming the social heart of the house and dining moving to the front bay. A new basement provides a gym and climbing wall, overcoming the challenge of diverting the main sewer. An air source heat pump, improved insulation, solar panels and battery storage reduce reliance on gas and the grid, while shading and air conditioning improve summer comfort.
