Located in Cowesfield, Wiltshire, this site accommodates a derelict, single storey brick and timber building which was originally used as dairy in the mid-20th century. More recently it was used for general agricultural purposes and storage. Our client, a local family with an extensive land holding in the area, commissioned us to produce a permitted development application under Class Q in 2020. The proposal included a change of use of the agricultural building to maximise the existing structure, creating two affordable properties for rent, fulfilling a much-needed requirement in the local community. Prior Approval was granted in May 2021 and following the success of this project further instruction from the client has been received to help realise the potential for development of other sites in their ownership.
