Footprint Architects Ltd were appointed by Wiltshire County Council to design a new building for a 300 place expansion to Melksham Oak Community School. The appointment covers RIBA Stages 1-6 and commenced with an initial feasibility study and area analysis to determine the brief. The concept for the new building was to extend the existing ‘village’ style campus in line with the local vernacular whilst developing a building that catered for post 16 pupils with a more mature and independent atmosphere. The project was completed on budget and programme in June 2021.
