Our entrepreneur client came to us needing help to establish his brand that he had started from scratch. The brief was to create a fun, family friendly, casual dining experience that was inspired by 1950s Italy. The concept look and feel we created was derived from the Amalfi coast, with the scheme being inspired from the colours of Italian gelato. To ensure this restaurant hit the brief of being a fun family dining event, customer experience was of high importance. We developed areas where the restaurant chefs would cook in front of the customers creating an unforgettable experience and a unique selling point to the Italians brand. To add to the atmosphere of the space, our design zoned different eatery areas, to create a varying experience dependent on which area of the restaurant the customer was in. This zoning was created by changing the style of seating, colours and finishes to give an obvious break in the space. These zones were named; Taverna, Enoteca, Trattoria or Salotto. All Italian names explaining the experience the customer would receive, whether it be a drink at the Enoteca wine bar or an informal meal at the trattoria.
