The client, an entrepreneur restaurateur had launched the first venue under this name in Wofsburg, Germany a few years ago and approached us to help him refine the brand, the customer experience and interior design through a partial refurbishment. This entailed some small interventions by designing bespoke seating islands with custom designed table lamps, bespoke chairs and tables along with some other proprietary FF&E. Then, during the pandemic, this same client secured a lease on a 1100sqm two-storey unit within a listed building located on the medieval ‘Kohlmarkt’ square in the centre of Brunswick, Germany. The classicist late nineteenth century building is known as ‘Haus der Sterne’ (House of Stars) as it served as a dance hall in the roaring 1920’s. This, along with the client’s brief to bring a bit of London and New York to this part of the world, provided the inspiration for the interior design and the brand’s identity. To realise our vision we developed a number of bespoke installations, joinery, furniture and light fittings. The result is a design unlike anything else in the area, creating a destination for the customer to be blown away by the beauty and character of the space.
