About the practice

Founded by Susan McBain, the practice offers bespoke architecture and design solutions on a project by project basis. Designs are developed through working closely and collaboratively with our clients. We listen, interpret, advise and challenge their requirements to develop the brief and then deliver the best possible solution in a creative, imaginative and beautiful way. Sustainability is at the heart of our design process, and we strive to employ Passivhaus principles to achieve buildings which are energy efficient, comfortable, affordable and eco-friendly, as well as being aesthetically pleasing. As a practice we are well placed to consider your project whether it be large or small, traditional or modern. We enjoy the challenge of using our design skills to answer your questions and achieve a joyful solution which meets your needs, exceeds your aspirations, and embodies your ideas in built form.
