Conversion of two Grade I listed 18th century dock buildings, Brewhouse and Clarence to form 130 apartments, cafe/restaurants and exhibition space (£15m). The Brewhouse and Clarence buildings form part of Royal William Yard, Plymouth, which was designed to supply all the victualling needs of the navy ships at the time. The Yard was designed by Sir John Rennie and constructed between 1825 and 1831, and contains what is probably the most important group of historic military buildings in Britain. Brewhouse was designed for brewing beer but the discontinuation of beer rations in the navy meant that it was never actually used for its intended purpose.
