This project comprises a contemporary split-level extension and internal refurbishment to a detached house. The design incorporates high-quality timber cladding, external solar shading and generous glazing to create light-filled, energy-efficient living spaces. The refurbishment reconfigures the existing layout to improve functionality and connectivity throughout the home. Careful consideration is given to site constraints, with continuous access to the garden maintained during construction and enhanced in the completed design. The proposal delivers a modern architectural addition that responds sensitively to its setting while improving the property's performance, appearance and relationship with the outdoor space
