Norwich
Within a Conservation Area, Listed Building - Grade II, New Build
Planning permission has been submitted for a 215 unit residential masterplan on the former Aviva Social Club site in Norwich, known as Pinebanks. The 16Ha site includes swathes of ancient woodland, steep topography, a former gravel pit and County Wildlife site, a Grade II listed folly, an underground WWII zero station and falls partially within the Thorpe St Andrew Conservation Area. Research and consultation undertaken has enabled a strong design response and an integrated masterplan to be brought forward which creates a high quality character development with a strong sense of place, green infrastructure, improved ecology, retention of WWII zero station, respect of the setting of the Grade II listed folly and opening up of ancient woodland for the enjoyment and benefit of the local population.
