Feilden+Mawson was appointed for the re-design and delivery of Stage 4 detailed construction information to create new headquarters for the Cambridge Institute of Sustainable Leadership (CISL) and to host a modern, enviormentally concious business hub (3026m2 combined). Striking a balance to maximise sustainability whilst considering the impact on the existing building’s appearance within a conservation area in the heart of Cambridge. The refurbishment is intended to be a low carbon retrofit to achieve EnerPHit certification, as well as targeting BREEAM Excellent, WELL Gold and other sustainability metrics: minimised embodied carbon, maximise bio based materials, and reuse of existing materials.
