Feilden+Mawson were approached by East Anglian Air Ambulance in the first instance to assist them in early feasibility work, the brief being to design a new Norwich base for all of their operations, from helicopters to charity workers. Several sites were investigated, the result of which was the full acceptance of the outline scheme by the board and approval of costs to extend and revitalise their current headquarters at Norwich International Airport. During our appointment we undertook the roles of Lead Designer, novated Technical Lead to the winning contractor, CDM Advisor to the Principal Designer and Interior Designer.
