This development at the junction of Jamaica Street and Howard Street in central Glasgow has approx. 50,000 sq ft of retail at ground and first floors with parking for 670 cars above in a multi-storey split level format at second to sixth floors. The car park development is the final multi-storey provision allowed within Central Glasgow in accordance with the Council Planning Policy. The design approach proposed and required by the Planning Authority was of a high quality modern building. Two storey full height glazing and canopies define the retail element at ground and first floors whilst terracotta rainscreen cladding has been used for the upper parking levels to the primary frontages of Jamaica Street and Howard Street. Work commenced on site April 2005 and was completed in July 2006. Contract sum £10m.
