A four storey, 80 bed hotel situated partially over Stepney Green underground station, which presented numerous technical constraints requiring a unique design solution. The entire front section of the building has been designed as a cantilever, imposing no load to the station below. The material palette and facade proportions reference the adjoining Grade II Malplaquet House, with the cantilever subtly acknowledged through a change in brick colour.
