Kelaty House is a 300-bed apart-hotel for Citadines and 699-bed student accommodation scheme arranged across five buildings ranging in height from 4 to 13 storeys, located within the immediate vicinity of Wembley Football Stadium. The project, on behalf of Watkin Jones, sits within the Wembley Park regeneration area and has been developed from an original design by SimpsonHaugh & Partners. It has 610 student cluster rooms and 89 studios, including a number that are adaptable and accessible. The scheme includes a substantial landscaped external communal courtyard with a basement car park below. The external-facing elevations will receive dark grey terracotta cladding with a mix of flat, textured, matt and glazed finishes to create visual interest and a sense of movement between the blocks. The internal courtyard elevations will comprise of aluminium panels with a ‘super graphic’ motif, creating a bold identity for the scheme.
