The project located on Jalan Ampang is 0.5km away from KLCC. The proposal is a mixed used development of office, residential and retail space with a GFA exceeding 1 million sq ft. The development for Magna Prima Bhd was designed by Glenn Jeffrey whilst an owner of Urban Research Lab. The form of the towers was driven by a requirement to maximise the vistas from the floor plates to the Petronas Towers and to Menara KL. To minimise the requirement for internal columns, an external structural lattice was developed to keep maximise the flexibility of the commercial spaces . The lattice also serves as an external passive shading device to reduce solar gain to the interior spaces and thus the artificial cooling requirements to these areas. The plaza at the ground floor level is cooled by extensive planting, water features and the shade offered by the towers. The cooler microclimate creates a comfortable outdoor public space and urban park along Jalan Ampang that can be used throughout the day and creates opportunities for alfresco dining further activating the plaza.
