Listed Building - Grade II, New Build
Esmond Murray Architects Limited
Esmond Murray Architects Limited , 21 Van Diemens Lane , Lansdown , BATH , Somerset , BA1 5TW , United Kingdom
The house is built at the bottom of the garden of No.1 Raby Place which is a grade 2 listed property dating from the early nineteenth century; it forms the end of the terrace comprising Nos. 1-18 designed by John Pinch. The house is built with natural Bath stone to front and rear elevations. The gabled end elevation reflects the characteristic ‘M-shape’ of the roof section of its neighbours. The house is built with a steel frame on piled foundations. At the rear is a single storey kitchen/dining room extension opening out onto the rear garden. Each of the three floor are divided into two levels accessed from the steel and glass staircase. The house has under-floor heating, whole house ventilation with heat recovery and photo-voltaic panels on the central flat roof.
