This project involved the complete reconstruction of the rear of a subsidence-affected Victorian terrace house in London. The design aimed to blend the elegance of Victorian architecture with contemporary open plan layout, creating a harmonious fusion of old and new. Large, open-plan spaces were introduced to allow natural light to permeate the interior, enhancing the sense of space and connection with the outdoors. Climbing plants, both inside and out, were incorporated to blur the boundaries between the garden and the house, creating a vibrant, living extension that revitalises the home while respecting its historical roots.
