Envelope Design - Architecture & Project Management
54A Ripplevale Grove , London , N1 1HT , United Kingdom
This project involved the extension and restoration of a historic flat-fronted Georgian townhouse in London, which had suffered from a series of unsympathetic renovations. The design sought to sympathetically restore the original Georgian architecture, bringing back its simple, pared-back elegance while integrating a new modernist extension at the rear. The aim was to create a dialogue between the clean lines and minimalist aesthetic of the new extension with the historic townhouse. The result is a harmonious blend of old and new, where the integrity of the Georgian architecture is preserved while opening up the rear with bright, modern, functional living spaces that integrate with the garden.
