Designed to EnerPHit This 1960’s home in the Pavenham conservation area has been retro-fitted using Passivhaus principles to meet the Passivhaus retrofit standard, EnerPHit. The dormer bungalow has been remodeled with external insulation and render giving it a striking modern look. The home has a constant, comfortable temperature thanks to the insulation, triple glazed windows and reduced cold bridging. A new vaulted roof to the kitchen opens up the views to the south and gives the home a contemporary feel. The owners are “very pleased with the results of their refurbishment projects and love living in it.” Now that the project is over they fully appreciate the technical design and attention to detail of all the Passivhaus features of their home.
