We are thrilled to present our Kent Renovation project. This is an exciting transformation of a 1960s house into a modern, sustainable home that seamlessly blends with its natural surroundings. Our clients were deeply passionate about this project, aiming to create a living space that not only meets EnerPHit standard but also respects and enhances the environment. The design of the house emphasises a sense of openness and connectivity with the outdoors. By incorporating an open floor plan and large windows, we have created a seamless flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces. Sliding glass doors open up to the beautiful garden, effectively bringing nature into the home and creating a light and airy living environment. This design choice not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also promotes a healthier and more enjoyable living experience. A key focus of the renovation was to minimise the environmental impact. We prioritised the use of sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems throughout the house. The clients, who own and manage a local woodland, provided a sustainable source of timber for the project. This locally sourced timber was used for cladding and the wood burner. This adds a unique and quirky touch to the exterior of the house. This approach not only supports local resources but also reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation.
