The new Sussex Yacht Club replaces the existing facility with a futureproofed landmark building which enables area development of a flood defence wall. The new club house has a contemporary take on a traditional form to complement the historic vernacular of the town and its architecture. The design builds upon the language of yacht architecture and subtly reassembles these components within a future proofed building which is sympathetic to the Shoreham Conservation Area and its new location on the waterfront.
