The retrofit of the Tower on the City of Portsmouth College Highbury Campus involved the replacement its combustible cladding materials with a compliant system, as well as, the replacement of its windows which did not meet the thermal requirements. This provided the opportunity for redesigning the tower and giving it a fresh and contemporary look. The Tower’s new blue to white facade softens the tower’s placement within the local area, whilst positioning it as a positive feature and focal point. Throughout the process the team provided architectural and BIM consultancy services.
