The project comprises of a ground floor side-return extension and internal reconfigurations to a Victorian terrace in Battersea, London. The ground floor extension creates an open plan kitchen and dining area that links with the existing living space. Bi-folding glazed doors open out onto a patio area to create strong indoor / outdoor connections. Roof glazing provides additional light into the ground floor living area. A sympathetic material palette of render and brick was utilised to match the existing house. The proposed changes maximise the potential of the existing house adding light, amenity values and garden views. dwell design were appointed in April 2016 to design and deliver this high-end single-storey extension and internal reconfigurations to create a house that the clients wanted and much better suited to their lifestyle.
