This new family house in a traditional classical style, set in a Conservation Area has been built on the site of an undisquished post war house which was demolished at the start of this project. The site is entered through gates set back from the road between thick planting, flanked by a pair of two storey garages (with bed sitting accommodation above) overlooking a gravel and granite sett forecourt. In contrast the simpler rear elevation looks over a paved terrace, down a grass tennis lawn to a swimming pool flanked by two painted timber pavilions. The house is built of red brick with Ancaster stone dressings and a handmade clay tile roof. Inside,the front door opens into a double height entrance hall with a staircase up to the first floor where there are four bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, whilst the large attic floor is filled by the principal bedroom suite. Although traditional in appearance, the house contains up to date services including under-floor heating using a ground source heat pump, a centralized vacuum cleaning installation and is entirely suited to 21st Century living.
