DMWR Architects was appointed by developer Southern Grove and Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing to prepare a detailed Planning Application for the landmark building in a highly sustainable, brownfield location adjacent to West Ealing Crossrail station. The elegant form and design concept was conceived in house over a period of months and following various client approval stages. As lead consultant, DMWR were involved over the 2 year design and approval process, culminating in an approval via a Planning Appeal, during which the Inspector described the proposal as being of ‘exemplary design’. The development is adjacent to the new Crossrail station at West Ealing Station and offers 144, 100% affordable, new flats. 94 of which are allocated to London Shared Ownership and the remaining 50 are for London Living Rent.
