This brownfield development utilises a redundant factory site, delivering more appropriate land use in a sustainable urban location. Dwellings range from 2-bedroom apartments to 3 and 4 bedroom family houses – including affordable houses, set within a high-quality shared surface environment. The Architecture is distinctive and contemporary – complimentary to the surroundings, but clear in vision and approach. The forms are borrowed from the surrounding context using traditional methods of construction. Careful use and repetition of form, and distinctive restrained detailing forms a strong identity for the development.
