The project creates a large open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space that connects seamlessly with the lower garden, along with a new utility room with shower. The loft space is converted to provide two extra bedrooms, one doubling as a home office, accessed via a new staircase. The loft conversion transforms the hipped roof into a gable end, integrated carefully with the main house. The rear extension features two offset pitched gables, lowered to suit the garden and neighbouring property, finished in two-tone render with large glazed elements to strengthen the connection with the garden. The loft dormer is clad in matching roof tiles and includes sliding timber shutters, with a split-volume design and recessed glazing to bring extra light into the interior. The design is informed by the local context, materials, and character of the property. The project is currently under review with Liverpool City Council Planning Department.
