This plot is located in Leicestershire, between parkland and a renowned grade II listed building. It was agreed with the conservation officer that no part of the new building would obstruct the view of the listed building from the local public footpaths. Using a highly detailed topographical survey of the surrounding land and listed building, we were able to set parameters in which we could design and create this luxury 5 bedroom family home. Within the property, two main building wings create spacious living spaces and bedrooms on the upper floors. The master room ‘chalet’ style balcony offers stunning views into the parkland and beyond. The low central linking structure provides a family bathroom and gallery into the entrance hall. ‘Hit and miss’ brickwork allows light into the property whilst maintaining the building’s solid mass.
