A contemporary addition to a grade II listed dwelling to create a new garden room / TV room with panoramic views of the newly landscaped garden. We worked closely with the client and the conservation officer to create a sensitive yet contrasting addition to the house, using aluminium and frameless glass to provide an almost transparent living space with an overhanging roof to provide solar shade. Three powder coated aluminium sliding solar screens are located in a concealed track to the underside of the roof overhang to control solar gain and glare. The new space provides a seamless connection between the garden and the internal space and provides an interesting focal point when viewed from the garden.
