DB3 was appointed to provide architectural and lead design services for the delivery of a 40 metre high Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners' Sidcup manufacturing facility. Working as lead designer, we coordinated the integration of a highly complex automated warehouse with the site's live production operations, including a new distribution building, link warehouse, gatehouse, goods yard and flood mitigation works. The project required close collaboration across multiple disciplines, extensive BIM coordination and the management of complex planning applications involving both Bexley Council and the City of London authorities. Designed to transform the site's logistics operation, the new ASRS triples storage capacity to around 26,000 pallets while connecting directly to the production lines and dispatch areas through a fully automated material handling system.
