This building formerly housed the Preston Livery & Carriage Company and is situated on a prominent site in Preston’s city centre. It was falling into disrepair and detracting from the street scene along Church Street, but has been rescued with this development which provides 13 apartments and 5 retail units. The original characterful elements of the building have been retained, but the introduction of glazing to the large arched entrance together with a palette of modern materials such as zinc and eroded steel have created a unique aesthetic.
