The scheme is for three houses within a refurbished element (a former Cottage Hospital) and eleven new house units. The site is within the development limit of the City of Wells and the original hospital building abuts the eastern most edge of a Conservation Area. The proposed new build houses are of a contemporary design and modest scale set on the lower southern and eastern parts of the site, the intention here to retain the setting of the original hospital building.
