The client owns a Georgian country house and wished for the small kitchen and existing offices to be remodelled to give him a large family kitchen and eating area commensurate with modern life. In the 1960s an integral garage had been unsympathetically added to the property. This was removed to create the new kitchen, with an eating area in a dramatic double-height glasshouse. What had been the kitchen was remodelled as a utility room/secondary kitchen; a small room off the back hall was turned into a boot room with new access; the back hall was enlarged and remodelled to make a spacious entrance; a herb garden was created in what had been the area outside the integral garage.
