Davenport Architecture was approached by a private developer to work up plans to extend and enhance a locally listed cottage close to the Village Centre of Davenham and within the conservation area. The proposals retained and enhanced the existing property, creating a new build extension which continued the original detailing to the main front and side elevations. At the rear of the property was a large brick built out-building which was also converted as part of the design. The two elements were linked together with a contemporary glazed structure, creating a large open plan family, kitchen and dining area overlooking the gardens. Plans were approved in 2018 and Works commence spring 2019.
