Greenbank Lodge is a local heritage asset being one of a series of similar lodges around the town. Davenport Architecture were approached to prepare designs for a contemporary extension, which respected and worked with the original architecture. The design has a simple floating pitched roof over an oak framed structure. High level slot windows provide natural light whilst maintaining privacy from the nearby public areas. The south facing gable provides views into the valley and a flat roof structure tucked at the rear provides new contemporary kitchen spaces with a private south facing patio.
