We take time to really get to know and understand our clients from the outset of a project. In this case the client made it clear that they were looking for a Local Architect to create a contemporary and modern extension with a flexible and open living space. With budget in mind, we also assessed the property in terms of opportunities to make the existing building work harder before resorting to creating new build space. In doing so we identified the opportunity for a garage conversion to provide a flexible study / play room space that would benefit the family whilst keeping the new open plan living space clear of any day-to-day clutter. This family-focused design incorporates an exceptional open plan living space with function-specific features that define each space and roof lanterns to draw light in from above. Tall windows at the side of the property have been utilized to draw light deep into the back of the room and ensure a light and airy feel throughout.
