Beach Road was a traditional, old farmhouse set within a conservation area and overlooking its equestrian paddocks. The property had grown with multiple extensions over many years, impacting the home to a point where the plan layout was presenting significant living problems, including isolating the main rooms from daylight and views over their paddock and field beyond. Our design sought to resolve these problems, bringing more light into the heart of the home and giving the client a greater aspect of the site an landscape beyond. Key to resolving the plan layout was to provide a new staircase in a different location, opening up the property's true potential.
