Darling Associates, together with a team of leading consultants, were commissioned by development managers Capella Estates (UK) Limited in August 2009 to undertake the design work for the redevelopment of the site in Maidenhead. This development involved the demolition of the existing 4 storey office buildings at 27 Market Street and the adjoining Albany House, both of which were built in the 1970’s. The scheme replaced these buildings with a single high quality 9 storey office building comprising 7,241 sqm (NIA) of B1 office space capable of renting as a whole, on a floor by floor or part floor basis. It includes 2 basement levels of car, motorcycle and cycle parking. The design embraces sustainability principles and focuses on minimising the carbon footprint of the building, whilst still providing high quality office space.
