Tapestry Building was the first of the Cutler Street Warehouses in 1771, storing exotic imports from India and the Orient. In the refit, the integrity of the warehouse’s industrial past is retained, for example, through wooden ceiling beams and cast iron columns. The building is characterised by its soaring ceilings and wealth of light and space, giving all fourteen units the air and light of classic loft-style appartments. Modern high spec finishes such as sliding glass doors, intelligent lighting and underfloor heating support this approach with clever divisions of space and use of storage allowing for uncluttered interiors with real character and exceptional quality.
