Alteration to existing property, Within a Conservation Area
Over 20 years, Dale Loth has reinvented his four-storey Victorian semi in an integrated design joining the house to its gardens. Aspects of Mediterranean, Japanese and American design join the English original to create a surprising unity. A see-through metal balcony overlooks the bamboo-capped waterfall in what had been the rear area. Sharing the same view, the basement is our architecture office. The master bedroom floor combines copper clad wardrobes, cedar joinery and Cornish slate shower room. The top floor study / music room / guest bedroom is lined with maple joinery and open to the roof. The living room (pictured here) is designed around 'Regolith', a specially commissioned aluminium wall sculpture. Other images appear on our website www.dalelotharchitects.ltd.uk . We sometimes participate in London Open House, but if you would like to visit at another time, please contact us for an invitation.
