D5 have been commissioned to deign a new build Jewish Faith School in the Stamford Hill area of Hackney. The commission comes following development of a good working relationship formed with the client on a commercial project in Birmingham. The building will provide teaching space for 325 pupils on the 2 upper floors with the reception, dining hall, kitchens and other ancillary facilities located on the ground floor. The building will also feature an environmental education garden on the roof and an air source heat pump to provide the primary heating and hot water. It is intended that the building will achieve a BREEAM rating of very good or excellent.
