d4p worked on the extension and refurbishment of this Victorian terrace house in Fulham . This three-bedroom house was transformed into a five-bedroom home complete with a basement that housed a cinema room, gym and a home office. The new basement, built underneath the existing house, is made light and airy with the use of strategically placed light-wells. The front light-well is discretely installed in the front garden; one which does not detract from the Victorian character. The central space of the basement receives natural light through a triple height light-well, complete with an olive trees which adds to the ambiance and the drama of the space.
