Scammell House , 9-12 High Street , ASCOT , Berkshire , SL5 7JF

The design infills the existing courtyard between the garage and the main house. In order to keep the proposal subservient to the main house, a gable roof to match the garage was proposed. The external walls are treated and detailed as garden walls using bricks to match existing walls. The gable profile keeps the connection to the main house to a minimum as well as maintaining views between the roofs. Further more, the glazed gables to both the front and rear allow views through the building at high level keeping the visual impact to a minimum.
