Residential Extension Commission: Iffley, Oxford, Oxfordshire 2. Client: Private Client. Type: Rear Extension & Associated Works. Brief: This project, now complete, was the addition of a large two storey rear extension to a detached property in Iffley, Oxford. The existing property was scandinavian in style and was set over 2 floors with a large rear garden. Our clients wanted to make significant alterations to the rear of the property to create a generous open plan kitchen / dining area on the upper level and a large open garden room below. These spaces were to be modern in feel and had to complement the existing property. The following design details are of particular note: Large sliding glass doors at lower level, large roof lantern, wood burning stove, oak and glass staircase, sunken terrace and reclaimed brickwork. Build Cost: Estimated at £165k.
