We were appointed to design a family home for contemporary living, including work-from-home flexibility as the direct replacement of an existing 400sqm house. We worked closely with Meisterstuck (a German system build similar to Huf Haus), using their factory assembly system to create a completely bespoke home for our clients and their family. The home was built to exceed the current standards of thermal insultaion, airtightness and passive heat capture. The home was also designed to respond directly to its plot, relating to semi=private and private outdoor spaces including the brook which runs through the grounds. This home was the first domestic use of the Velux modular system in the UK, creating a central hallway and living space bathed in natural light.
