When the C&A clothing chain chose to withdraw from the UK market in 2003, a number of prime redevelopment sites came on to the property market. Corstorphine + Wright were commissioned by Redevco to redevelop the redundant Crawley store to provide 6 new retail units and a modern aesthetic replacement for the original 1970s facade.
