Located on the site of a former Second World War tank park and bordering green-belt countryside, Corstorphine + Wright were appointed by the Terrace Hill Group to masterplan and design a mixed use commercial centre in the heart of a residential development of 550 houses and apartments by Linden Homes and Laing Homes. The scheme consists of an Academy Childcare day nursery, Budgens food store, Esporta health and fitness centre and 26 small office units for private sale totalling 40,000 sq ft. The scheme centres around a town square with 300 car parking spaces interspersed by extensive soft and hard landscaping to produce a very attractive leisure and working environment. The implementation of a sustainable travel plan for local residents and employees as part of the Planning Approval adds to the site's appeal. The scheme was awarded a Green Apple Award for the Built Environment.
