A concrete and ceramic extension to this 1960’s house creates ample new living space for a family who had outgrown it. The large south-facing extension uses traditional materials – timber, concrete and ceramics to create a new living room, library, kitchen and dining room. At first floor level the existing bedrooms are enlarged by radically remodelling the rear of the house. These rooms look over a meadow roof into the garden beyond.
