Alterations to a previously converted range of Edwardian barns include a mezzanine office and a remodelled kitchen together with a garden room extension on the eastern elevation. A new opening from the kitchen to the oak framed extension (built on a chamfered stone plinth with lime rendered panels and carefully detailed oak windows and doors), allows the kitchen to be double aspect with views of both the large garden and the inner courtyard. The garden room also creates a sheltered south facing terrace from which to sit and enjoy the garden. Proposals are currently being drawn up for a small extension in the courtyard to create a reading room from which the gardens on the west side of the property can also be enjoyed.
